Can’t get XDEBUG to send back information: phpstorm+xdebug+ec2-linux

So according to my php.ini and phpstorm(validate debugger configuration on web server) xdebug is perfectly installed and configured and phpstorm is able to receive and send info to xdebug on the remote server. YET, when i add break points and clearly reached those break points, I don’t get any debugger info like variables and their contents. I have no idea what I’m still missing but here is my phpinfo() screenshot:

running xdebug remotely generates unexpected trace files

I am running xdebug version: 2.1.0 on linux Ubunto 12.04
I want to run xdebug remotely but I am having an issue with the generated trace files. They are always look like this no matter what. I do not prefer to work with an IDE but I’ve tried sublime xdebug and nothing changed. I am using debugclient as a client and I set the debugging session via the URL. I even tried using chrome xdebug helper but the trace files are always the same.
Note: when I try to debug a php script from command line (i.e., php xx.php), the trace is printed as expected. So, I am having only this issue when I debug remotly..

I’ve read many posts on this matter but nothing worked out..

appreciate any help..
